Lantern Theater Company Presents The Philadelphia Premiere Of THE HEIR APPARENT

Lantern Theater Company continues its 25th anniversary season with the Philadelphia premiere of The Heir Apparent by David Ives, adapted from Jean-Francois Regnard's 1708 comedy Le Legataire universel. Lantern resident director M. Craig Getting will direct a cast that includes Lantern veterans Chris Anthony, Leonard C. Haas, Adam Hammet, Dave Johnson, Mary Martello, Lee Minora, and Ruby Wolf. Theater critics and members of the press are invited to request tickets for opening night on Wednesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. by contacting Anne Shuff at ashuff@lanterntheater.org. The Paley Center for Media Announces 12th Annual Paleyfest Fall TV Previews + All-Star Lineup

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 12th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 6-16, 2018, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. The ten-day festival celebrates the most anticipated new shows of the Fall 2018 television season as well as returning favorites from all five major broadcast networks, cable television, and premium streaming services. Each event includes screenings followed by star-studded discussions with the series cast and creatives.

The 15-day, 5-borough Festival, founded by KIT Artistic Director Laura Caparrotti and KIT Italia Artistic Director Donatella Codonesu, will close with the 5th annual Mario Fratti Awards, created especially for In Scena! to honor excellence in Italian playwriting. This year's winners are Chiara Boscaro & Marco Di Stefano for The City Rises (La citta' che sale).

Lantern Theater Company Presents THE TEMPEST By William Shakespeare

Lantern Theater Company continues its record-smashing 24th season with The Tempest by William Shakespeare. Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon will direct a cast that includes some of Philadelphia's finest actors: Chris Anthony, Peter DeLaurier, J Hernandez, Dave Johnson, John Lopes, Bi Jean Ngo, Ruby Wolf, and Frank X. Lantern Theater Company announces complete casting for its upcoming 2017/18 season, which begins this week with the Philadelphia premiere of Red Velvet by Lolita Chakrabarti. Sometimes inspiration strikes from the immersion of living in a far away place. The view of the ocean. The sound of a rainforest at sunrise. The smell of an open-air market. The embrace of the wild human experience. However, maybe the nostalgia for a certain place might be attributed instead to a feeling, or a time, or even a person. Sometimes, inspiration stems from a place that everyone can relate to, but maybe no one's actually been. This is the music of The Hip Abduction, the vibrant St. Petersburg, FL-based collective that formed over a mutual appreciation for West African and early Jamaican reggae/dub music.

?WaterTower Theatre (WTT) has announced the election of Derek Blount as Chairman and Ben Cunningham as President of the WaterTower Theatre Board of Directors.  WTT also announced the election of a slate of Board Officers including Vice President Wade Owens, Secretary Stan Graner, and Treasurer Jimmy Niemann.

Madcap mayhem and farcical hilarity set the tone for Lantern Theater Company's production of The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, adapted by Steven Canny and John Nicholson which closes the Lantern's season, running May 28-June 28.  Directed by Matt Pfeiffer, the three-person cast features Damon Bonetti, Daniel Fredrick and Dave Johnson in multiple, quick-change roles.
