STAGE TUBE: First Look at Jefferson Mays and More in A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER - Highlights!

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, presents the world premiere musical comedy A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder with book by Robert L. Freedman; music by Steven Lutvak; lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak; and directed by Darko Tresnjak. A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder plays now through November 11 and features Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays, playing eight of the more than 20 characters. I HATE F*CKING MEXICANS Makes U.S. Premiere at The Flea Tonight, 10/9

The Flea Theater announces the U.S. Premiere of I HATE f**kING MEXICANS by Luis Enrique Gutierrez Ortiz Monasterio "the enfant terrible of contemporary Mexican theater." Translated by Debbie Saivetz, Ana Graham, and Danya Taymor and directed by Ms. Taymor, a Flea Resident Director; the production will feature members of The Bats and The Riot Group's Adriano Shapman. Previews begin tonight, October 9, with opening night slated for October 18 at 9pm.

Hartford Stage Announces Lineup for Brand:NEW Festival of New Works, 10/25-28

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, announced today the lineup for Brand:NEW Fall Festival of New Works, scheduled October 25 - 28. The Festival will include readings of five new plays by Octavio Solis, Bess Wohl, Dan O'Brien, Matthew Lopez andJanine Nabers, as well as a playwrights' panel on October 28 at 4:30 p.m.

TCG Announces Seventh Round of Recipients of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowships

The William & Eva Fox Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, are pleased to announce the seventh round of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship recipients. The program is designed to support actors' professional and artistic development, to enrich relationships between actors and nonprofit theatres and to ensure continued professional commitment to live theatre. Funded by the Fox Foundation and administered by TCG, the fellowship is one of only a few programs of its kind for actors in the country.

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, today announced the cast of the world premiere stage adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Man in a Case, featuring Mikhail Baryshnikov, on stage from February 21 through March 24. Press night is at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 27. Opening night is at 8 p.m. Friday, March 1.

Hartford Stage and Aetna Name Playwright Matthew Lopez the 2012-13 Aetna New Voices Fellow

Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts today announced that playwright Matthew Lopez, author of this past season's The Whipping Man, will be the 2012-13 Aetna New Voices Fellow at Hartford Stage. The announcement comes on the heels of former Aetna Fellow Quiara Alegria Hudes winning the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in April.

Hartford Stage Announces HEDDA GABLER Cast and Creative Team

Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, today announced the full cast and creative team for Ibsen's Hedda Gabler, the season opener of the Tony Award-winning theatre's 49th season, on stage from August 30 through September 23.

Hartford Stage Announces New Board Members

Joining the Board for an initial two year term are Lois Anderson of Avon, Sonya D. Dockett of Avon, Judith E. Meyers of North Haven, Eric D. Ort of Farmington, Charlie Ortiz of Hartford, Esther A. The Public and Theater for a New Audience Announce the Wallace Shawn-André Gregory Project

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) and Theater for a New Audience (Founding Artistic Director Jeffrey Horowitz; Managing Director Dorothy Ryan and Chairman of the Board, Henry Christensen III) will present THE WALLACE SHAWN-ANDRÉ GREGORY PROJECT in 2013, a celebration of the remarkable 40-year collaboration between Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory. The two plays, THE DESIGNATED MOURNER and GRASSES OF A THOUSAND COLORS, will offer a long overdue retrospective of Shawn's work as well as an opportunity for him to appear on the New York stage again under Gregory's direction. The Public Theater presented Shawn's first play in New York, Our Late Night, in 1975, directed by Gregory.
