Signature Theatre will soon stage La Cage aux Folles, directed and choreographed by Signature Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner. With an iconic score by Jerry Herman(Hello, Dolly; Mame), featuring 'I Am What I Am' and 'The Best of Times,' and a book by Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots, Newsies), this musical comedy will run from May 31 - July 10 inSignature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre.

An original musical adaptation of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, inspired by the 1740 French Novella, began previews on Valentine 's Day and opens this weekend, February 27, running through April 26 at the Players Theatre, located at 115 MacDougal Street (between West 3rd and Bleeker) in the West Village. The production features a live chamber ensemble of three percussionist and cello, which hightlingts the rich somber tones of the score (by Michael Sgouros) as well as the magical dream-like tambers. On Thursday, June 25th, the Clear Space Theatre Company in Rehoboth will kick off its rotating summer productions of GREASE, RENT, and SEUSSICAL, which will feature thirteen visiting actors from all across the east coast.

Directed by Jay Mills, with musical direction by Jack Bender and choreography by Desiree Caro, evening performances of 'A CHORUS LINE' will run May 17, 25, 31, June 1, 7 and 8 at 8pm; matinee performances run May 18, 19, 26 and June 2 at 2pm.
