Arena kicks off performances in this temporary location, known now as Arena Stage in Crystal City, with the swinging new musical Ella, conceived by Rob Ruggiero and Dyke Garrison with book by Jeffrey Hatcher.
'Ella,' the musical play that weaves myth and memory, comedy and drama, mystery and music about the heart and soul of Ella Fitzgerald, one of the world's most beloved jazz singers. Performances begins June 23, opening June 29, through July 22.
Arena Stage Artistic Director Molly Smith recently announced the lineup for the Arena Stage's 57th theater season, her 10th as Artistic Director.
