Multi award-winning Josie Lawrence, one of the UK's best-loved actress and comedians is to star in a new production of Mother Courage and her Children.

In the final hour of 14th April 1912, the RMS Titanic, on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, collided with an iceberg and 'the unsinkable ship' slowly sank. It was one of the most tragic and infamous disasters of the 20th Century.

Giles Terera and Danielle Tarento are presenting a West End fundraising gala evening of song, dance and comedy for the hundreds of families made homeless and the relatives of those who lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower fire.

Julian Clary is to star in the world premiere of the black comedy Le Grand Mort.

Having premiered on Broadway in 2005, The Color Purple was first seen on the London stage back in 2013 at the Menier Chocolate Factory. The production, directed by John Doyle, subsequently transferred to Broadway, launching British actress Cynthia Erivo to international stardom.

Maxwell Caulfield, Zoe Doano and Chris Peluso are to head the cast of Death Takes A Holiday, the third Charing Cross Theatre musical directed by Artistic Director Thom Southerland following the critically acclaimed Titanic and Ragtime, which has just received an all-time record 14 Off West End Award nominations as well as WhatsOnStage Award nominations for Best Musical Revival and Best Off West End Producton.

Following the critically acclaimed, sell out production of Titanic, Thom Sutherland, Artistic Director of the Charing Cross Theatre directs a new production of Ragtime, playing for a strictly limited season. 

It was the music of something beginning... Ragtime, the landmark Broadway musical, will play the Charing Cross Theatre (The Arches, Villiers Street), in London's West End, beginning October 8th and run through December 10th in a strictly limited engagement. Opening night is set for October 17th.

Maury Yeston, the composer and lyricist best-known for Nine and Titanic, visited the West End a few months before the West End opening of his new musical, Death Takes a Holiday. Based on a film (which was based on a play) this story tells of how Death changed his perspective. He used to not quite understand why everyone he came to collect was quite so aggrieved to die, until he met a particular woman who allowed him to realise quite what makes life worth clinging to. The side effect of Death's occupation being, though, that he can't collect anyone else while he's so distracted - Death the person and death the concept take a break!  Maury was kind enough to discuss his musical background, some of his better-known works and his latest venture for the stage.
