Printed works for or about children are the focus of the installation Printing a Child's World, which opened May 27 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and runs through October 16, 2016.

The nominations for the 17th annual Moet British Independent Film Awards were announced today, at St Martins Lane, London by actor Jared Harris.

The first set of phenomenal singers from across the country will perform on this Sunday's premiere of ABC's hotly-anticipated new series, 'Rising Star,' SUNDAY, JUNE 22, (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET; check local listings) on the ABC Television Network.

Chicago Fringe Festival Executive Director Vinnie Lacey announces the Chicago Fringe Festival 2013, held August 29 - September 8, its first time in the new location of Jefferson Park was a success and the Festival will return in 2014. Attendance was up over the previous two years with 3887 attendees. The Festival had more than 25 sold out performances and the number of Fringe Festival passes was at an all time high. Fringe artists and performers receive 100% of the ticket sales generated by their appearance and in 2013, more than $28,000 was returned to artists. The Chicago Fringe Festival is a member of the Fringe Festival movement and is one of many festivals held throughout the world. The Chicago Fringe Festival unites daring theatergoers with emerging and boundary-pushing local, national and international performing artists while seeking to engage nontraditional audiences through a commitment to low ticket prices and outreach into artistically underserved communities.

The Mission Creek Festival has released the second announcement of artists performing at this year's festival. New acts scheduled to perform include supergroup Divine Fits, 30-piece punk marching band Mucca Pazza, rising metal group Pallbearer, and rock duo JEFF the Brotherhood. Other new additions are Mister Lies, Ital, Pete Swanson Future Rock, Pujol, Container, and Iowa-based artists Har-di-Har, Gloom Balloon, Mirror Coat, Ex-Action Model, No Coast, and Gem Jones.

Nokia Music, a free music streaming service from Nokia that offers free and unlimited access to playlists and songs on Nokia Lumia smartphones, today announced an exciting new documentary series. The Nokia Music produced series will feature six short films created by some of the world's most respected independent directors including, Abteen Bagheri, Emily Kai Bok, Bob Harlow and Tyrone Lebon.
