Huntington Theatre Company kicks off 2014 with David Ives' sexy Broadway smash hit Venus in Fur, deemed '90 minutes of good, kinky fun,' by The New York Times. Daniel Goldstein (God of Carnage) returns to the Huntington to the direct the 2012 Tony Award nominee for Best Play. Performances will begin on January 3 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre. The most produced play in America this season, Venus in Fur is 'deadly serious, madly funny ... you won't see a funnier play this season, or a smarter one,' says The Wall Street Journal.

The Music Institute of Chicago honors the extraordinary legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. at its 10th annual celebration of the legendary civil rights leader, featuring the renowned Brotherhood Chorale of the Apostolic Church of God, Sunday, January 19 at 5 p.m. at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Avenue, Evanston. Ticket proceeds support the Music Institute's William Warfield Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Jeremy Greenbaum (The Fantasticks) and Aaron Komo complete the cast of Prospect Theater Company's world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson, book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen and direction by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Previously announced cast members include Margo Seibert (set to make her Broadway debut as 'Adrian' in ROCKY on Broadway in Spring 2014) as Tamar, with Ako (Throne of Blood), Erik Lochtefeld (February House), Mike Longo (Hair) and Vince B. 'Crossing The River', a discussion featuring interfaith leaders led by Reverend Susan Turchin, and 'The Power of the Voice', a discussion with innovative contemporary theater composers hosted by Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812's Dave Malloy, will be offered as free post-performance events following upcoming performances of Prospect Theater Company's world premiere of TAMAR OF THE RIVER. Two time Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Musicals, continues its tradition of producing exceptional, Broadway caliber musicals in 2014 with a triple play that's sure to thrill theatergoers: the devilishly funny Damn Yankees - with a Fenway twist - will run from April 11 - June 21; the uplifting and joyous Fiddler on the Roof will run from June 27 - September 7; and the World Premiere musical based on the classic film from Universal Pictures, Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn will run from September 19 - November 30, 2014.

International film star Orlando Bloom makes his Broadway debut alongside Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, as Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers in a new Broadway production of the timeless love story Romeo and Juliet, directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux. The show opens on Broadway tonight, September 19, 2013 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. The production also stars two-time Tony Award nominee Jayne Houdyshell as the Nurse and Tony Award nominee Joe Morton as Lord Capulet.

The cast will feature Karen Mason as Sue. Ms. Mason has appeared in Broadway'sWonderland, Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, Sunset Boulevard, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Play Me a Country Song as well as Goodspeed's Heartbeats at The Norma Terris Theatre. Opposite her as Dan will be Tony-nominated Mark Jacoby whose credits include Broadway's Elf, Sweeney Todd, Man of La Mancha, Ragtime,Showboat, Grand Hotel, The Phantom of the Opera and Sweet Charity. Mr. Jacoby performed at the Goodspeed Opera House in On The Twentieth Century.
