Terrence McNally's script for the musical version of RAGTIME, taken from E. L. Doctorow's popular novel from the mid 1970's, attempts to squeeze as much information out of the book as possible. It succeeds, where the movie adaptation failed, in capturing the full spectrum of Doctorow's work. The Washington University Performing Arts Department, in conjunction with the Black Rep, is presenting a well mounted production directed with considerable flair by Ron Himes.

The producers of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES announced today that legendary Broadway star Robert Goulet is confirmed to join the cast of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES. The Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winning actor will replace Daniel Davis in the role of Georges mid-April (exact date TBD) at Broadway's Marquis Theatre. Understudy John Hillner will assume the role for the interim performances.
