Tony Award nominee Craig Lucas' acclaimed play RECKLESS returns to New York on October 28h, 2013 at 8pm for a one-night only benefit reading in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street), directed by Kate Whoriskey (Ruined) and featuring an all-star cast. All proceeds will benefit Safe Horizon(www.safehorizon.org), 'the largest organization of its kind in the United States that helps victims overcome crisis and become survives as they restore their lives'. The evening is produced by The Indigo Theatre Project (Nick Gereffi and Rachel Sussman, Co-Founding Artistic Directors), a theater company that strives to unite passion with purpose by producing high-profile readings of notable plays to benefit charities aligned with the work being read. SHREK THE MUSICAL proved a lot of skeptics wrong when it ended up a Broadway Success. While some may have expected 'camp,' the show proved itself Broadway-worthy with it's stellar music, composition, as well as set and costume design. The star studded original cast brought the show to life with their stellar talents. Sutton Foster as Fiona, Daniel Breaker as Donkey, and Brian Darcy James as Shrek proved to all musical theatre nerds alike that yes, stage adaptations of children's movies can make it on the Great White Way.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PRINCE OF BROADWAY, the new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold 'Hal' Prince has been postponed indefinitely due to scheduling conflicts. Now according to the New York Times, the musical is having trouble raising the funds to open on Broadway.
After smash hit engagements in March and May, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band will return to the intimate Manhattan venue 54 Below tonight, September 21st. Tony Award nominee Daniel Breaker, Nick Blaemire, and Caissie Levy are among the evening's performers.
