The highly anticipated West End transfer of CLOSE TO YOU: BACHARACH REIMAGINED, the new musical featuring Burt Bacharach's songbook, opened last night 15 October at the Criterion Theatre, London. After the performance, Burt Bacharach joined the cast in Piccadilly Circus for a very special performance of 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head,' followed by a party at the Haymarket Hotel. The Menier Chocolate Factory recently confirmed the international cast - hailing from across the UK, US and Canada, for the UK premiere of What's It All About? Bacharach Reimagined. Burt Bacharach's celebrated songbook is given an exciting new interpretation with Kyle Riabko's thrillingly original musical arrangement. This show, directed by Oliver Award-winner Steven Hoggett, is a dynamic 90-minute non-stop musical journey in which the 27-year-old Riabko leads a talented group of young performers through Bacharach's classic melodies, blending nostalgia and innovation, where generations old and new can revel in the joy of these hits as if for the very first time.

New York Theatre Workshop Extends WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT? Through 2/16

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker have announced that What's It All About? Bacharach Reimagined will extend two additional weeks through Sunday, February 16, 2014 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. The musical had originally been scheduled to run through January 5 and then, following rave reviews and strong box office, received a four-week extension through February 2.
