Itamar Moses will join Adam Rapp and Christopher Shinn for 'The Bad Boys of Off Broadway', the first in a series of seminars focused on the culture, business and history of Off Broadway sponsored by The Off Broadway Alliance, on Sunday, February 28, 2010.

This year, Mile Square Theatre's production of its annual fundraiser 7th Inning Stretch features a selection of seven 10-minute plays from some of America's finest writers.

Aaron Louis (Producing Director, 3LD Art & Technology Center) in association with New Georges and The Essentials, will present the world premiere of THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL, written by Marielle Heller, adapted from the hit graphic novel of the same name by Phoebe Gloeckner, and directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde and Rachel Eckerling in a multi-media production. Performances will begin on Sunday, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector Street). The official opening night will be Sunday, March 28 at 8:00 p.m. (Performances will run through Monday, April 12.)

Following critical acclaim and popular demand, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced a three-week extension for the World Premiere of THIS, the new play by Obie Award winner Melissa James Gibson (Suitcase, [sic]). Directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin ([sic], eight seasons as Artistic Director of Soho Rep), the production opened Wednesday, December 2. Originally set to run through Sunday, December 13, the limited engagement will now play through Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the theater company's Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street). This date represents the latest extension possible for the show.

Melissa James Gibson's new play THIS opens off-Broadway tonight at Playwright's Horizons. Previews for THIS began November 6th and will play through December 13th. The cast will star 'Law and Order's' Julianne Nicholson, as well as Louis Cancelmi, Eisa Davis (Obie Award winner for Passing Strange), Darren Pettie, and Glenn Fitzgerald. Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) announced today that Parker Posey has had to withdraw from the cast of THIS, a new play by Obie Award winner Melissa James Gibson (Suitcase, [sic]), due to developing a case of Lyme Disease. A replacement actress for the lead role of Jane will be announced shortly.
