BLUEBARN's Artistic Director, Susan Clement-Toberer directs the hilarious send-up of the original 1936 cult classic, Reefer Madness. The musical comedy showcases costumes by Jenny Poole, scenic design by Martin Scott Marchitto, lighting design by Carol Wisner, musical direction by Mitch Fuller, and choreography by Roxanne Nielsen. Shows run Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 28 and Sunday, July 5 at 6 p.m. There will be no show on July 4. Guided along the way by a colourful cast of characters including George Washington, Lady Liberty and even Jesus himself, will Jimmy successfully navigate this seedy underworld and live to tell the tale?
Denis Hyland ('Rocky Horror Show,' 'Equus,') plays Jack the super smooth proprietor of the Reefer Den, with Mary Falconer ('The Best Man,' 'Urinetown') playing Mae - the long-suffering hostess of the Den. Nulita Loder ('Urinetown,' 'My Way') plays Sally, the seductive Reefer Slut, and Michael Aaglan ('The Best Man') plays Ralph, a former fraternity man who's become a giggling reefer addict. Kristen Wilson ('Urinetown,' 'Bat Boy') plays the Placard Girl who parades lessons to be learned from the dangers of the leafy menace.

On October 27th, former stage and screen cast members of Reefer Madness including Christian Campbell,Alan Cumming, Ana Gasteyer and Amy Spanger, celebrated the release of the new Reefer Madness CD at Joe's Pub.
Ghostlight Records is proud to announce the October 27th release of a Collector's Edition double-CD of 'Reefer Madness', featuring both the Movie Soundtrack, and the original Los Angeles Cast Recording. The double-CD contains new Author Notes, written by By Kevin Murphy & Dan Studney, and also features a 'flipover booklet', which contains artwork and lyrics for both CDs. Murphy & Studney commented: 'This double CD of 'Reefer Madness' marks the culmination of a 10 year journey for us. It began in 1997, during a road trip back from San Francisco, where we got the idea that it might be fun to write a musical about singing, dancing potheads. Being in San Francisco can give you ideas like that.'
