It began as a movie way back in 1936... then it became a stage musical... In April 2005, REEFER MADNESS returns to its roots and airs as a movie musical for premium cable network Showtime! The production boasts REEFER stage alums Christian Campbell, Robert Torti, Kristen Bell, John Kassir, Harry S. Murphy starring alongside Alan Cumming, Neve Campbell, Ana Gasteyer, Amy Spanger and Steven Weber.

The film was helmed by original REEFER director Andy Fickman from a screenplay written by creators Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney. All three executive produced the film in partnership with Bob Greenblatt, Jim Veres and Jan Korbelin. The vast majority of the songs from the 2001 Off-Broadway production are featured in the film, with the addition of a brand new duet "Mary Jane/Mary Lane," written especially for the movie! REEFER MADNESS: THE MOVIE MUSICAL world premiered on January 27, 2004 at the world-reknowned Sundance Film Festival.

Reefer Madness will Premiere on Showtime Saturday, April 16 at 8pm ET/PT. For more information, visit www.reefermadness.org or www.sho.com
