Nichole Canuso Dance Company Announces Digital Tour Of BEING/WITH: HOME

The intimate participatory performance, which explores separation, connection, and the power of listening, will play The John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin from February 11-24, 2021, followed by an engagement at the Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, Maine from February 25-March 14, 2021.

Liza Parker Named Executive Director of The Fisher Center at Bard

Bard College has announced the appointment of Liza Parker as executive director of the Fisher Center, a leading performing arts center and hub for research and education. Previously a member of the senior leadership team at Lincoln Center, most recently as chief operating officer, Parker was responsible for overall strategy and direction, overseeing management of the campus, including Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the David Rubenstein Atrium. As executive director of the Fisher Center, she will lead senior administration, and manage operations and external relations for the Center's professional and educational programs.

The Autorino Center for the Arts and Humanities  at the University of Saint Joseph announces the presentation of Dan Froot & Company in Pang! a?" Stories from Another America, a unique theatrical experience that mashes up the podcast era and the classic radio drama. The performance is Friday, October 25 at 7:30pm with tickets available as part of the Autorino Center's Pay-It-Forward program made possible by prior gifts of generosity. Attendees can choose their own ticket price knowing that their generosity will underwrite future free and Pay-It-Forward performances

2019 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship Program Recipients And Finalists Announced

New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) has announced the recipients and finalists of the NYSCANYFA Artist Fellowship Program, which it has administered for the past 33 years with leadership support from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA). The organization has awarded a total of $661,000 to 98 artists (including three collaborations) whose ages range from 25-76 years throughout New York State in the following disciplines: ArchitectureEnvironmental StructuresDesign, Choreography, MusicSound, Photography, and PlaywritingScreenwriting. Fifteen finalists, who do not receive a cash award but benefit from a range of other NYFA services, were also announced. A complete list of the Fellows and Finalists follows.

10 Hairy Legs Debuts at Baryshnikov Arts Center for Sixth Consecutive New York Season

10 Hairy Legs, the all male repertory dance company, dèbuts at Baryshnikov Arts Center for its sixth consecutive New York Season for four performances June 7 -10. The program features World Premieres by Bessie Award Nominee and company member Nicholas Sciscione, and Yin Yue. Works by Al Blackstone, Raja Feather Kelly and Christopher Williams complete the program. Sciscione will perform his solo work and Ofer Pelz his original composition at all performances. Tickets are $25 for Adults and $20 for Students and Groups of 10 or more through 10HL.org.
