Joe's Pub at The Public has announced its upcoming performances, running tomorrow, April 23 through May 4, 2014. Details below!

Dan Finnerty caught America's attention as the foul-mouthed wedding singer in the hit film Old School, performing his now-infamous foul-mouthed rendition of 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', as well as his other appearances in Todd Phillips movies, Starsky & Hutch and The Hangover. What started as a drunken joke for Finnerty singing 'I Am Woman' at a karaoke bar has spiraled out of control into The Dan Band, a cult hit that has garnered rave reviews from The New York Times, The L.A. Times, Variety and Rolling Stone. The band will exercise their comedic chops at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, May 17, at 8 p.m. Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) will pour a free glass of house wine or draught beer with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented.

PETA, which normally waits for spokespeople to turn 18 before asking them to star in a 'provocative' campaign, has enlisted 16-year old Samia Najimy Finnerty for its new 'Vegans Go All the Way' ad. Samia, PETA's youngest pinup, is the singing-songwriting daughter of actor Kathy Najimy and singer Dan Finnerty of The Dan Band.
