The Dramatists Guild Fund (DGF) announces that it will begin expanding its Dramatists Guild Fellows Program through collaboration with developmental theater organizations. Each resident theater program will select one playwright or writing team to join their workshop season.
The Dramatists Guild Fund (DGF) is providing more than $40,000 in emergency recovery grants to theaters affected by Superstorm Sandy. Theaters in downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and New Jersey will receive grants to help them rebuild and move on with their seasons.
This week, CENTERSTAGE will take part in Shinsai: Theaters for Japan, an international event coordinated by the Theatre Communications Group, to mark the one year anniversary of the 2011 earthquake in Japan and raise funds for Japanese theater community affected by the disaster. On March 11, organizations nationwide will stage fundraising events featuring plays and songs from American and Japanese artists.
