ABC added another collection of powerful voices to the opening of the Smithsonian's new National Museum of African American History and Culture. Stars will include John Batiste, Shirley Caesar, Chloe X Halle, Fantasia, Robert Glasper, Herbie Hancock, John Legend, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin and Cynthia Erivo.

Singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading will compose original music for Phyllida Lloyd's forthcoming production of The Tempest. The songs will be set to Shakespeare's words in the Donmar's new all-female production which starts performance from 23rd September.

Produced by SubCulture and Jason Robert Brown, the evening will take place at Town Hall (123 West 43rd St), and 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Brady Center, the national organization determined to create a safer America by cutting gun deaths in half by 2025.
