CAST PARTY Returns To The Magic Castle With Caruso, Stritch, Barbour & More, 5/26

Hot on the heels of the recent Hollywood debut of CAST PARTY, JIM CARUSO and BILLY STRITCH are thrilled to announce their return to THE MAGIC CASTLE on Wednesday, May 26th. Once again, the event will take place at The Inner Circle at the Castle (700 Franklin Avenue, Hollywood). Doors will open at 6pm for singer's signup, and the Open Mic-style variety show will start at 8pm.

The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport is pleased to close out its Third Season with the Classic Musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. To Life! Set in Tsarist Russia in 1905, this nostalgic favorite and enormously beloved story centers on Tevye (played by Tony Award nominee EDDIE MEKKA, Carmine Ragusa from Laverne & Shirley), the father of five daughters and his attempts, in a life of uncertainty and imbalance, to maintain his family and religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives.

O'Neil Center Names 2010 NPC Selections; Uhry et al. Named Playwrights in Residence

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today that seven plays will be developed at the 2010 National Playwrights Conference under the leadership of artistic director Wendy C. Goldberg. The selected playwrights will spend the month of July at the O'Neill's Waterford, Connecticut campus developing and presenting staged readings of their work during the NPC's 46th season. Box office and online ticket sales open Wednesday, June 9; advance ticket sales will be available to O'Neill Members beginning Monday, May 17.

GLEE's Jane Lynch has been announced as the recipient of the 14th Annual Achievement Award from from Outfest. The award, Outfest's most prestigious honor, is given each year to an individual who has contributed significantly to LGBT film and media. Lynch will receive the honor on July 8 at a screening at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. She will be among the company of previous winners Don Roos, Jane Anderson, Gregg Araki and Rob Epstein.
