Eric Rosen, artistic director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, has announced that a new production of the musical Saved, directed by Gary Griffin (The Color Purple-Broadway and national tour, Pacific Overtures--London), will open the Rep's 2010-11 season.

In celebration of his first solo CD release, former Jersey Boys star Erich Bergen will debut his new club act at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles on Wednesday, September 15 at 8pm, and following that performance, he will be appearing at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City as part of the cast of Venice from October 7 through November 14.

Michael Ritchie, Artistic Director of Center Theatre Group, has set the 2010-2011 season at CTG's Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. The new season, which features three productions and four DouglasPlus presentations, will run from October 7, 2010, through August 28, 2011.

Rehearsals began March 16 at Kansas City Repertory Theatre for the world premiere production of Venice, an explosive new musical written by Rep artistic director Eric Rosen and Matt Sax, creators of the hit hip hop musical Clay. The award-winning Vital Theatre Company's new production, MATTHEW TAKES MANNAHATTA, an original musical with book by Aurin Squire, lyrics by Sammy Buck, music by Daniel S. Acquisto and directed by Carlos Armesto, will open October 17th. The musical is based on the unpublished manuscript, Matthew's Secret Door by Christopher Paul Moore and Matthew Christopher Moore.
