Court Theatre to Present AN ILIAD Revival, 11/13-12/8

Court Theatre continues its 2013-2014 season with the revival of the OBIE Award-winning play An Iliad by Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson, directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell and starring Timothy Edward Kane. An Iliad will run November 13 - December 8, 2013 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue.

Tony Award nominee Craig Lucas' acclaimed play RECKLESS returns to New York on October 28h, 2013 at 8pm for a one-night only benefit reading in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street), directed by Kate Whoriskey (Ruined) and featuring an all-star cast. All proceeds will benefit Safe Horizon(www.safehorizon.org), "the largest organization of its kind in the United States that helps victims overcome crisis and become survives as they restore their lives". The evening is produced by The Indigo Theatre Project (Nick Gereffi and Rachel Sussman, Co-Founding Artistic Directors), a theater company that strives to unite passion with purpose by producing high-profile readings of notable plays to benefit charities aligned with the work being read. RECKLESS is Line Produced by Allison Bressi and Associate Produced by Shoshana Feinstein.

South Coast Repertory's 50th season blends five world premieres with classics and modern masterpieces. The slate includes Arthur Miller's American classic Death of a Salesman, the musical The Light in the Piazza and the world premiere of Rest by Samuel D. Hunter. The season concludes with the play that started it all for SCR in 1964: Moliere's Tartuffe. Season subscriptions are available now; single tickets go on sale in August.

Edited by Tom Philbin, directed by Troy Miller and presented by Adam Weinstock and Creative Concept Productions as part of the 17th Annual New York International Fringe Festival (Fringe NYC), A Homecoming will be performed at the Players Theater, located at 115 MacDougal Street (between W 3rd St. & BleeckerSt. (Fringe Venue #17). The production will run Saturday, August 10 at 4:45pm; Friday, August 16 at 2pm; Tuesday, August 20 at 9pm; Thursday, August 22 at 1pm; and Friday, August 23 at 7pm.
