STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held just yesterday in Shubert Alley, hosted by Darren Criss who is currently playing Hedwig in the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a 12-piece live orchestra, including many of this year's 2015 Tony Award - nominated plays and musicals!

Manhattan Theatre Club just presented their annual Spring Gala last night, at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). This year's gala was hosted by Tony Award winner Jane Krakowski ('The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,' Nine) and featured special guest and Tony Award nominee for Airline Highway K. Todd Freeman, and performances by many of the most acclaimed musicals on Broadway including: Beautiful, Finding Neverland, Gigi, It Shoulda Been You, On The Town, Something Rotten!, and The Visit. BroadwayWorld has learned that performances May 7-12 have been canceled so that the theatre can host NYC upfronts for Univision Communications Inc. Performances will resume on May 13.

Peck will play the role at the following performances: March 3rd at 7pm, March 4th at 2pm and 8pm, March 14th at 2pm and 8pm, and March 15th at 3pm.

Last Thursday, we officially "froze" the show, which means that we are finished with any major changes. We continue to receive notes before our performances. However, the choreography, set changes, music, and our script will adhere to Thursday night's version--our final draft, so to speak. This way, we get to marinate in the show a bit while previews continue and then the October 16 opening arrives. Also, it gives the press a chance to see it ahead of time.
