The Arc Theatre expands from three successful years in residence at "Shakespeare on the Ridge" in Evanston to present the first show of its inaugural full season. The Arc's Oedipus Rex will be performed at the Chemically Imbalanced Theatre, 1422 Irving Park Rd, February 14th through March 9th, 2013, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm. Virginia Opera, The Official Opera Company of the Commonwealth of Virginia, announces its 2013-14 Season that features four, brand-new mainstage productions and two Special Engagement productions that span comedy, drama, farce and grand opera. The Company's 39th Subscription Season will open with Falstaff in September, followed by The Magic Flutein November, Ariadne auf Naxos in February, and Carmen in March. Special Engagements next season will include performances of The Girl of the Golden West in January and Sweeney Todd in May.

The Rogues Gallery Presents Emerging Designers event has been a labor of love for the past seven years. It now attracts more than 1000 persons to the live show, and for the second year will be held Sunday, Feb 10th. Doors open at 4pm. Located at Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City, 401 Seventh Ave., across from Madison Square Garden. The fashion forward designers whose collections are selected for inclusion in the RGP group show, are mostly independent businesses who create and sell limited edition lines to stores, have garnered some press and wish to expand their lines into more retail outlets.
