For those of you for whom these questions haunt you daily, The Brick is pleased to announce the first ever F*ckfest, taking place during June 2015 in Brooklyn, New York! F*ckfest, quite simply, is a festival about sex. A sextival, if you will.

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) is pleased to announce that it will join other professional theater organizations from across the country participating in the seventh annual presentation of "The Jimmy Awards", to be held in New York City on June 29th at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA), founded and produced by Nederlander Presentations, Inc. and Pittsburgh CLO, is a national celebration of outstanding student achievement that recognizes individual artistry in vocal, dance and acting performances by high school students. "The Jimmy Award" is named in honor of James M. Nederlander, legendary Broadway theater owner and producer.

Playwright Kati Frazier and director Corinne Woods propose a few answers, and introduce more questions on the subject in the new play a sex thing (or, a bunch of liberals getting uptight about the sociopolitical implications of their desires), presented in June as a part of The Brick's F*ckfest.

After a successful launch in 2014, the 21C Music Festival returns with a new line-up of artists from today, May 20, to May 24, 2015. The festival will again run over five nights and consist of eight concerts, featuring music composed mostly during the 21st century, which once again crosses boundaries and genres: rock and hip hop musicians share billing with classical artists and the music of seminal electroacoustic pioneer Kaija Saariaho is celebrated.

Twelve student finalists from top drama schools across the UK competed for the title of this year's Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year (SSSSPOTY), on Sunday 17th May at the Garrick Theatre in London's West End. Each student sung a song by Stephen Sondheim and, at his personal request, they each sang a new musical theatre song, written by members of Mercury Musical Developments and shortlisted for the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize. Gaiety ruled at the 33rd Annual Elliot Norton Awards ceremony as Ryan Landry, impresario of the Gold Dust Orphans, received the Elliot Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence, and comedian-actress-jazz musician Lea DeLaria was the Guest of Honor. Bragging rights went to American Repertory Theater with seven wins in the large theater categories, while Lyric Stage Company led all midsize theaters with four wins.
