Breaking News: MAMMA MIA! to Close on Broadway This Fall; Movie Sequel in the Works?

?Creator and global producer Judy Craymer has announced that Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA!, inspired by the songs of ABBA, will end its historic, record-breaking run on Broadway on September 5th, 2015 at the Broadhurst Theatre following 5,765 performances.

Joining Parsons will be two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Fitzgerald (Finian's Rainbow, Young Frankenstein) as 'Michael' & Tim Kazurinsky ('SNL', Police Academy) as 'Gabriel'. An Act of God is written by God, transcribed by 13-time Emmy® Award winner David Javerbaum and directed by Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello.

GHOSTLIGHT 9 Set for Series of Performances at The Cherry Lane Theatre

ALL FOR ONE THEATER and GORGEOUS ENTERTAINMENT will offer a special presentation of GHOSTLIGHT 9: A MUSICAL GHOST STORY for three performances only, April 22, 28 and May 3. GHOSTLIGHT 9 is performed by All For One's Artistic Director Michael Wolk - who also provides book, music and lyrics - and directed by Aaron Mark. Mr. Wolk accompanies himself on guitar. GHOSTLIGHT 9, a charmingly spooky tale inspired by the ghost that famously haunts the New Amsterdam Theater, will take place at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street in Manhattan) to coincide with ALL FOR ONE THEATER production of the New York premieres of 8 STOPS and MAJOR TOM. The show was developed in All For One's SoloLab in 2014, and it received a workshop presentation in January 2015 at The Wild Project.

Royal Conservatory of Music to Present 21C MUSIC FESTIVAL in Toronto, May 20-24

After a successful launch in 2014, the 21C Music Festival returns with a new line-up of artists from May 20 to May 24, 2015. The festival will again run over five nights and consist of eight concerts, featuring music composed mostly during the 21st century, which once again crosses boundaries and genres: rock and hip hop musicians share billing with classical artists and the music of seminal electroacoustic pioneer Kaija Saariaho is celebrated.

Echo Theater Company to Stage Pair of L.A. Premieres in Rep, 4/25-5/31

The multiple award-winning Echo Theater Company, named "Best Bet for Ballsy Original Plays" by the LA Weekly, continues its 2015 season with two Los Angeles premieres scheduled to run in repertory. Row After Row by Jessica Dickey (The Amish Project) opens on April 25 at 5 p.m., with A Small Fire by Obie Award-winner Adam Bock (The Drunken City, The Receptionist) opening that same evening at 8 p.m. The two plays will continue to run in tandem every weekend through May 31 at the Echo's home in Atwater Village Theatre.
