On Many April 20th MGC Productions presented Broadway Speaks OUT Live at The Duplex. The evening was hosted by MGC Productions founding artistic director, Martin Gould Cummings. Performances were given by Marissa Perry (Hairspray), Jay Armstrong Johnson (Hair), Donell James Foreman (Mamma Mia Tour), Justin Stoney (The Yeats Project), Lauren Elder (Hair), Adriana Devine Figliola, Elliot Roth and Jenn Lederer (Midtwenties:The Show).
On January 4th 2009, after over 2,641 performances, the curtain fell at the Neil Simon Theater on the final performance of Broadway's 2003 Tony Award winning musical HAIRSPRAY starring original cast members Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Marrisa Jaret Winokur returned to her Tony Award-winning performance as Tracy Turnbladon Tuesday, December 9th. She will play Tracy straight through to the final performance on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Broadway's Neil SimonTheatre.
