HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARDS Marked the Launch of Awards Season

The 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards” brought together Hollywood's elite to honor the year's most talked about, and highly anticipated, actors, actresses, films and those who help bring them to life.  The awards ceremony, celebrating its 22nd anniversary as the official launch of the awards season, was hosted by actress and comedian Awkwafina, and took place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.  In its 22-year history, more than 320 of the world's biggest stars and filmmakers have been highlighted at the “Hollywood Film Awards” and more than 130 of the honorees have gone on to garner Oscar nominations and/or wins. 

CRAZY RICH ASIANS Star Awkwafina to Host the HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARDS

 dick clark productions announced today that actress, Awkwafina, will host the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards” on Sunday, November 4 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Deep in the midst of her star-making moment with key roles in the hit films Oceans 8 and Crazy Rich Asians, the recent SNL host will take the stage alongside some of the biggest names in entertainment to lead the audience through an incredible night of honoring the best in film.

Ryan Coogler, Charlize Theron Among 2018 Indiewire Honorees

IndieWire, the definitive outlet for creative independence in film and TV, today announced the honorees for their second annual IndieWire Honors. Selected by IndieWire's editorial team, IndieWire Honors is a celebration of seven of the biggest names in entertainment and will be celebrated at an intimate cocktail reception taking place on November 1 in Los Angeles. Exclusive editorial content, including honoree profiles and video interviews, will also be featured on Indiewire.com beginning November 1 and will continue throughout the month of November.

 dick clark productions announced today the line-up of stand-out performers and talent who will be recognized at the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.” Crazy Rich Asians will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Ensemble Award,” Amandla Stenberg will be recognized with the “Hollywood Breakout Performance Actress Award” for 20th Century Fox's The Hate U Give, while John David Washington will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Performance Actor Award” for his role in Focus Features' BlacKkKlansman. Additionally, Felix Van Groeningen will be bestowed the “Hollywood Breakthrough Director Award” for Amazon Studios' Beautiful Boy, and Yalitza Aparicio will be given the “New Hollywood Award” for her performance in Netflix's ROMA.

CRAZY RICH ASIANS by Kevin Kwan Smashes Box Office for Second Week in a Row and Gets a Sequel Greenlit!

Warner Brothers next expected Crazy Rich Asians to be as successful as it has. They predicted the movie would take in 20-25 million its first weekend. Instead, it took in 35 million. In its second week, it took 25 million, remaining in first place at the box for a second week straight and only dropping 6%, bringing in huge numbers for the studio. It is rare for a movie to have such a low drop in its second week; word-of-mouth has been golden and everyone is rushing to see the feel-good movie of the summer that has all their friends and co-workers buzzing.

ALL THE CREATURES WERE STIRRING Out On VOD, Digital And DVD December 4, 2018

RLJE Films has acquired all North American rights to the upcoming horror film All the Creatures Were Stirring. Written and directed by David Ian McKendry (The Dump) and Rebekah McKendry (The Barista), known for their amazing work at Fangoria and Blumhouse, the film stars Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians, "Fresh Off the Boat"), Amanda Fuller ("Orange is the New Black"), Jonathan Kite ("2 Broke Girls"), Jocelin Donahue (Insidious: Chapter 2) and Graham Skipper (The Mind's Eye).  RLJE plans to release the film on VOD, Digital and DVD on December 4, 2018.
