The highly anticipated film INTO THE WOODS had its premiere Monday night, December 8th at New York's City's Ziegfeld Theatre. The film hits theaters on December 25th, is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. The Steppenwolf Theatre Company's new production of Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed This is Our Youth, just opened on Broadway last night at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48 Street). In this production, Michael Cera makes his New York stage debut opposite Kieran Culkin and Tavi Gevinson, which premiered at Steppenwolf in Chicago this past summer, and is directed by Anna D. HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Kenny Leon, blazes to life in a non-biographical story about friendship, family, revenge, change and hope. Inner city lives struggle for peace against the daily challenges they face in this entertaining and original musical. Through the poetry of one of the 20th century's most influential and culturally prominent voices, we are given a window into realities of the streets still relevant today.
