Esta semana tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a los ensayos de la gira nacional de My Fair Lady, dirigida por Jaime Azpilicueta. Por primera vez se dejó ver el set de esta nueva producción que estará protagonizada por Paloma San Basilio como Eliza Dolittle y Juan Gea como Henry Higgins, y se estrenará el próximo 29 de junio en Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Esta semana han comenzado los ensayos del musical My Fair Lady, producción de Stage Entertainment que iniciará una gira por España el próximo 29 de junio en Santa Cruz de Tenerife. El montaje llegará a más de 20 ciudades durante 2012 y 2013.
Stage Entertainment ha anunciado el reparto completo del musical My Fair Lady, que proximamente levantará el telón en Tenerife. Paloma San Basilio, Juan Gea y Joan Crosas protagonizarán este espectáculo. Ana María Vidal, Jose Ramón Henche, Víctor Díaz y Luisa Fernanda Gaona completan el reparto junto a Aarón Cobos, Adriana Vaquero, Andrés Navarro, Carlos Solano, Chus Herranz, Conchita Momeñe, Dalila Colombo, Daniel Román, Edu Morlans, Elena Medina, rene Olivé, avier Ibarz, Karmele Aranburu, Manuel Rodríguez, Marc Parejo, Marchu Llorente, Miguel Cazorla, Miriam Madrid, Pascual Ortí, Pepa Lucas, Roger Borrull y Yaiza Guimaré.
The De La Salle Brothers, Roman Catholic religious brothers who dedicate their lives to educating young people, recently celebrated the centennial anniversary of De La Salle University (DLSU) in the Philippines, and commemorated their colleagues who were killed by Japanese soldiers in World War II via the restaging of the cantata (a vocal chamber work) A FIRE IN THE SOUL, which features libretto by Vicente Groyon III, music by Von de Guzman, and direction by Peque Gallaga.

The Castillo Theatre will hold its 2011 annual gala benefit entitled, WOMEN ONSTAGE, on Monday, November 7th at the All Stars Project, 543 West 42nd Street (between 10th & 11th Avenue) at 6:30 p.m. The gala will recognize and honor four inspirational women of the theatre. Carmen de Lavallade, Gabrielle L. Kurlander, Judith Malina, and Daphne Rubin-Vega have all lived lives of outstanding artistic achievement and have used their achievements to inspire others.

Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones have announced that the role of 'Stella' will be played by two-time Tony Nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega and the role of 'Mitch' will be played by Wood Harris, in the upcoming Broadway production of A Streetcar Named Desire directed by Emily Mann. They will join Blair Underwood as 'Stanley' and Nicole Ari Parker as 'Blanche'. This production is slated to hit the boards, Spring, 2012. Theatre is TBA.
