New Musical Adaptation of TREASURE ISLAND & More Announced for The Aurora Fox's 38 Season

Jenny Owen Youngs Announces New EP 'It's Dangerous to Go Alone'

Reproductive Rights Are Human Rights, Says Actors' Equity Association

Last month, Bauhaus released the new song 'Drink The New Wine' which was recorded last year during lockdown with the four members sharing audio files. The track employs the Surrealists' ‘Exquisite Corpse’ device whereby each artist adds to the piece without seeing what the others have done.

Solas Nua to Stage MAZ & BRICKS

In a year when U.S. headlines are filled with news of increasingly restrictive reproductive rights legislation, and U.S. streets are filled with women protesting for rights they thought they'd won nearly 50 years ago, Solas Nua, the Washington DC-based contemporary Irish arts organization, will stage an Irish play that lands the political firecracker in the middle of a romance. Maz & Bricks will perform June 2-26 at Atlas Performing Arts Center, 1333 H St. NE, Washington DC.

Cincinnati Pops Announces Additional Special Events For The 2022-2023 Season

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra announced two additional special events for its 2022-2023 season: hip-hop artist Common will make his Cincinnati Pops debut on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 under the direction of Pops Principal Guest Conductor Damon Gupton, and singer-songwriter-pianist Ben Folds will perform an orchestra show with the Pops on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

BWW Interview: Julia Rodriguez-Elliott METAMORPHOSizeS ANW's 30th Anniversary Season

A Noise Within’s next production Mary Zimmerman's Metamorphoses will open May 14, 2022, with previews beginning May 8th. A re-envisioning of ancient Greek myths for a modern audience, Metamorphoses is set entirely in and around an on-stage swimming pool. ANW’s co-producing artistic director Julia Rodriguez-Elliott directs a cast of ten ANW resident artists who tackle over 85 roles in six myths: Alan Blumenfeld, DeJuan Christopher, Geoff Elliott, Rafael Goldstein, Nicole Javier, Kasey Mahaffy, Sydney A. Mason, Trisha Miller, Cassandra Marie Murphy and Erika Soto. Julia took some time from her multiple duties as Metamorphoses’ director and ANW’s co-producing artistic director to discuss Metamorphoses logistics, as well as her successful working relationship with co-producing artistic director husband Geoff Elliott.
