Epatha Merkerson ('Law & Order'), Screen Actors Guild Award winner Peri Gilpin ('Frasier'), Daniel Mitura and Jean Brassard are set for benefit reading of Kathleen McGhee-Anderson's new play A SHIFT IN GRAVITY, directed by Ricardo Khan today, December 9 at 8:30pm at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theater at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan. A SHIFT IN GRAVITY is presented by 651 ARTS and associated produced by Lorraine Rodriquez-Reyes.

London director, Ian Marshall Fisher has rediscovered the long lost play written by the unique collaboration of Orson Welles and Cole Porter, AROUND THE WORLD. This historical Welles and Porter partnership (Citizen Kane & Touch Of Evil meets Kiss Me, Kate & Anything Goes) is based on their take on Jules Verne's Around The World in 80 Days. AROUND THE WORLD will play a series of 'Benefit/Fundraising' performances in London's Lilian Baylis Theatre, Sadler's Wells, and will be unveiled to Americans for the first time in over seventy years at New York's Mint Theatre.

Broadway Records to Release BIG FISH Cast Recording in Feb. 2014

Broadway Records will release the original Broadway cast recording of the new musical BIG FISH digitally on Friday, February 7, 2014 and everywhere music is sold on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. AROUND THE WORLD, Orson Welles & Cole Porter's Re-Discovered Work, Begins Performances Friday in NYC

The unknown play written by Orson Welles and Cole Porter Around The World, based on Jules Verne's Around The World in 80 Days, is to play a series of benefit performances in London's Sadler's Wells and New York City's Mint Theater. The performances are fundraising events for The Lost Musicals Charitable Trust (UK). This production marks the first time it will be seen in NYC since the original production in 1946. Some 70 years after the original Broadway production, a new generation of New Yorkers will get the rare opportunity of seeing Around The World.

New York City Ballet announced today that Principal Dancers Jenifer Ringer, Janie Taylor, Sebastien Marcovici, and Jonathan Stafford will retire from the Company during the 2014 Winter and Spring Seasons. All four of these Principal Dancers joined the Company during the 1990s as members of the corps de ballet, and have performed countless roles by numerous choreographers during careers spanning from 15 to 24 years with New York City Ballet.

Columbia Pictures announced principal photography has commenced on Jiang Wen's 3D feature film 'Gone With The Bullets,' through hisproduction company with Ma Ke, Buyilehu.This is the highly anticipated second film in the Bullets Trilogy that began with the 2010 hit feature 'Let The Bullets Fly' ('Rang zidan fei'), which Jiang directed. The first feature was one of the highest grossing domestic Chinese releases in recent years, grossing over US$140 million at the worldwide box office, including RMB 720m in China. 'Gone with the Bullets' will be distributed inChina by Buyilehu, and internationally by Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI).
