Photo Flash: BIG FISH Makes a Splash on Opening Night at Theatre at the Center

The deeply moving, enchanting new Broadway musical for all ages BIG FISH continues Theatre at the Center's exceptional 25th anniversary 2015 season. With a book by John August and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, BIG FISH is based on the Columbia Pictures film screenplay of the same name by John August and Daniel Wallace's 1998 novel, Big Fish: A Novel of Mythical Proportions. Artistic Director and multiple Jeff Award-winner William Pullinsi lends his expertise in the first professional locally-produced staging of the beloved musical running now through June 7th at 1040 Ridge Road in Munster. Director Matthew Warchus, composer and lyricist Tim Minchin, choreographer Peter Darling, and designer Rob Howell, four of the creators of the international musical sensation Matilda, The Musical, have joined forces with writer Danny Rubin to collaborate on a new musical based on the 1993 hit film GROUNDHOG DAY, scheduled to begin previews Monday, January 23, 2017 and open on Broadway on Thursday, March 9, 2017.

Irish Rep to Present Nate Rufus Edelman's THE BELLE OF BELFAST; Claudia Weill to Direct

Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciaran O'Reilly, Producing Director) proudly announces the fourth production of its 27th theatre season, the New York premiere of Nate Rufus Edelman's THE BELLE OF BELFAST, directed by Claudia Weill. THE BELLE OF BELFAST was developed as part of the Irish Rep's Reading Series in 2013. THE BELLE OF BELFAST will begin previews on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. The production is scheduled to run through Sunday, June 7, 2015. The Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2015.

The Board of Directors for Center Theatre Group elected Kiki Ramos Gindler as President of the Board at the organization's board meeting on February 12, 2015. With this appointment, Gindler becomes the organization's first Latina president as well as the Music Center's first Latina board leader. Gindler will succeed William H. Ahmanson, who assumes the position of chairman of the board.
