The RRazz Room Announces October 2010 Concerts; Stephanie Powers Set for 10/2 & 10/3

Craig & Mara to Lead 'Girl with Dragon Tattoo' Flick

Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara have been cast in the lead roles of Columbia Pictures' three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson's literary blockbuster The Millennium Trilogy under the direction of David Fincher. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - the first film of the series, which also includes The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest - begins shooting next month in Sweden. The screenplay is written by Steve Zaillian and the film is being produced by Scott Rudin, Cean Chaffin, Ole Sondberg and Søren Stærmose. Mikael Wallen and Anni Fernandez are executive producers. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is set for worldwide release December 21, 2011.

Universal Media Studios has signed a first-look, two-year development deal with the Oscar-winning producing team of Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald ('Gladiator,' 'Men in Black,' 'The Ring'). The announcement was made today by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

The Orange County Performing Arts Center's enormously popular 'FREE Movie Mondays' on the community plaza continues its series with a big-screen presentation of the 1968 musical OLIVER! on Monday, July 26. The film is based on the hit 1960 stage musical of the same name (and exclamation point) with book, music and lyrics written by Lionel Bart. The film was nominated for 11 Academy Awards in 1969, winning 6 statues including Best Director (Carol Reed) and Best Picture. OCPAC's screening of OLIVER! is co-presented with media sponsor KCRW.
