The play, adapted by John Pielmeier, enjoyed a run at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse in 2012, starring Richard Chamberlain and Brooke Shields. Production details have not yet been announced.

AMC today announced that “Hell on Wheels” will be returning for a fifth and final season of 14 episodes on AMC. Seven new episodes will air next summer, with the final seven episodes of the series following in the summer of 2016. The Western period drama opened up a new night of original programming for AMC on Saturday and in its current season is delivering an average of 3.4 million viewers on the most challenging night of the week for television.

Sony Music is proud to announce the release of the original motion picture soundtrack of ONE CHANCE, the remarkable life story of singer Paul Potts. With an array of opera favorites that will appeal to a wide range of listeners and a new, previously unreleased song by seven-time Grammy Award-winner Taylor Swift, the soundtrack is available on January 7, 2014. AMC announced today that it renewed its original Western drama Hell on Wheels for an expanded fourth season. For its third season, Hell on Wheels was moved to Saturday – a day that AMC has traditionally devoted to classic Western films and television shows – and the show attracted a larger audience than it had in its second seasonon Sunday nights. In its third season, Hell on Wheels delivered an average audience of 3.3 million viewers, live and with three days of time shifting.

AMC Network and Entertainment One (eOne) today announced that legendary country singer Charlie Daniels composed an original song for the western series, "Hell on Wheels," which is produced by eOne and currently airing its third season on AMC.
