AMC announced today the renewal of HELL ON WHEELS for a third season with John Wirth ("V" "Fallen Skies" "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") serving as executive producer and showrunner. Season three of the series has been greenlit for ten, one-hour episodes and is scheduled to premiere in third quarter 2013.

Deadline.com has announced that Virginia Madsen, David Julian Hirsh, Jon Seda and Billy Zane are set for recurring roles on upcoming TV shows this fall. Madsen will join the cast of AMC's western drama, Hell On Wheels in a three-episode story arc. The actress will portray Mrs. Hannah Durant, the wife of Thomas "Doc" Durant played by Colm Meaney.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced this morning the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy(R) Award nominations, recognizing AMC with 34 nominations, the most for any basic cable network for the fifth year in a row, breaking the previous 29 nomination record for the network from 2011.

AMC announced today its summer programming slate, including the highly anticipated premiere of the first part of 'Breaking Bad's' final season on Sunday, July 15 at 10pm ET/PT. AMC's season finale of 'Hell on Wheels,' which premiered on Sunday, January 15th at 10 pm EST, delivered a 2.2 HH rating and attracted 2.8 million viewers. The premiere and encore combined delivered 3.8 million viewers (10 pm EST premiere and 11 pm EST encore). Season one averaged 3 million viewers and attracted 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 1.4 million adults 25-54. 'Hell on Wheels' finishes as the second highest rated series on AMC following the success of 'The Walking Dead.' AMC greenlit a second season of 'Hell on Wheels' in December.

Deadline.com reports that AMC has renewed it's western series HELL ON WHEELS for a second season. Thw show premiered on the AMC Network on November 6th and has currently broadcast seven episodes of season one.

BEL AMI is coming to theaters on March 2, 2012. The film is based on the french novel by Guy de Maupassant. It is produced by Uberto Pasonlini with a screenplay by Rachel Bennette and is being directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod.
