2016 New York Innovative Theatre Nominees Announced!

On Monday, August 8, 2016, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 12 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2016 nominees at its annual event, The IT Party, celebrating 12 years and thousands of nominees at 42West. 11th Annual Henry Awards Nominees Announced!

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 11th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 18, 2016 at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Tickets are $23 for CTG members (limit 2 per person online with the code Henry2016), $30 non-members or $50 VIP. Tickets go on sale June 20 through the PACE Center website, parkerarts.org, or by calling the box office at 303-805-6800.

Ring of Fire, a lively jukebox revue of the music of the Man in Black, blazes bright at Midtown Arts Center in Fort Collins, CO. There are a total of five actors, all of which accompany themselves on multiple instruments as they take the audience on a journey through Johnny Cash's discography.

THE NEW YORK NEO-FUTURISTS have announced Colin Summers' STEVE: A Docu-Musical, with music by Summers and Andrew Eckel, lyrics by Steve, and directed by Nessa Norich. STEVE: A Docu-Musical, which had sold-out performances at Joe's Pub, Ant Fest, and Frigid New York Festival, will play a limited engagement at 4th Street Theatre (83 East 4th Street). Performances begin Thursday, August6 and continue through Saturday, August22. Opening Night is Wednesday, August12 (7:30 p.m.).  $16 tickets now available at www.nyneofuturists.org/steve/.

The New York Neo-Futurists, critically acclaimed creators of the award-winning theatrical experience Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, have announced that the company's 2014 Gala will honor actor and playwright Eric Bogosian. The event-which will include live performances by the Neo- Futurists, exciting live and silent auctions, as well as cocktails, snacks and a dessert bar- will take place at the Bowery Hotel from 7 p.m to 10 p.m., Monday, November 17, 2014. Musical Mondays Theatre Lab Announces New Name, 2013-14 Season Lineup of Shows, Starting Today

Today, October 24, the not-for-profit development group Musical Mondays Theatre Lab will launch its 14th season with a new name and a very heavy organizational heart. This summer, after years of presenting promising new musicals at the Snapple Theatre Center on Thursdays (because that was the only slot that was open in the schedule), the MMTL Board of Directors voted to change the organization's name to Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab (thereby retaining the corporate initials) with the vote and complete blessing of the group's founder and Co-Artistic Director Richard 'Bick' Goss. Less than a month later, Goss died from complications of Parkinson's disease. The director, choreographer and former Bob Fosse dancer was 75.
