Rachel McAdams is 'locking down' the female starring role as a cop in the sophomore season of HBO's hit drama TRUE DETECTIVE.

HBO has confirmed that Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn are confirmed to star in the second season of HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE. Justin Lin will direct the season's first two episodes.

Previously reported rumors regarding Colin Farrell's joining TRUE DETECTIVE can finally cease.

Elisabeth Moss and Rachel McAdams, who were reportedly in the running earlier this summer, also remain in the mix.
