Classical music commentator Rob Kapilow presents an engaging exploration of some of George Gershwin's most beloved songs in Rob Kapilow's What Makes it Great? The Songs of George Gershwin. Kapilow is joined by soprano Sally Wilfert and tenor Michael Winther for the first What Makes it Great? program of the season, taking place on Saturday, February 2 at 8PM at NEC's Jordan Hall

The national touring company of Avenue Q makes a fuzzy and fun pit-stop at the National Theatre in Washington DC through December 9 before heading to Baltimore. Feinstein's at Loews Regency will continue their Fall 2007 season with the debut of critically-acclaimed performer Erin McKeown. She was recently called 'one of the freshest singer-songwriters of her generation' by The Wall Street Journal. McKeown and her Little Big Band will perform songs from the CD Sing You Sinners for two shows only, Sunday, November 25 and Monday, November 26.

The New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) will present 'Love at the Crossroads'- songs of love, hate, jealousy and flirtation - on Tuesday, November 13 and Thursday, November 15 at 8PM at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall

For her new show, Chicago's After Dark Award Winner for Outstanding Cabaret Artist Joan Curto has chosen the songs of two stars who defined the American musical theater. 'Brassy, Sassy & Classy: The Songs of Ethel Merman and Mary Martin,' provides a showcase for Curto's classic, sultry styling and emotional versatility.
