This August Curtain Call Performing Arts (CCPA) presents the Broadway classic, Anything Goes, at the California Conservatory Theatre (CCT), in downtown San Leandro, bringing audiences "onboard" the S.S. American ship in the classic Broadway tale. Inside the intimate theatre venue of CCT, audiences will "board" the S.S. American and "sail" along with the cast and musicians, complete with a boarding picture taken as they enter the theater. This delightful ocean-going musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, and a book by the team of Guy Bolton, P.G. Wodehouse, Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse, "docks" in the heart of the East Bay for a 14 show run, August 9-25.

The Roundabout Theatre Company revival production of the hit 1940's musical Anything Goes opened this past Thursday night at The Princess of Wales Theatre, during one of the worst heat waves the city of Toronto had ever had. Porchlight Music Theatre is proud to announce the first production in its new series presenting the 'lost' gems of one particular year in Broadway history, 'Porchlight Revisits...' The inaugural series focuses on the year 1964 and opens with Anyone Can Whistle, book by Arthur Laurents (Gypsy, West Side Story) and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim (Follies, Sweeney Todd), starring Rebecca Finnegan, with direction by Christopher Pazdernik and music direction by Aaron Benham. Presented for one night only, Anyone Can Whistle plays Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m.

Megan Hilty and Aaron Lazar star in a staged reading of Jonathan Burrows' Broadway-bound revival of the Cole Porter musical Can-Can, beginning today in New York City. The by-invitation-only presentation, featuring Hilty as Pistache and Lazar as Aristide, is also set for tomorrow, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17.
