Praised by Billboard Magazine as 'a singer with exciting vocal ability,' singer/songwriter Laury Shelley is proud to announce the release of her long-awaited new CD EP. Time Is A Healer , covers a variety of genres: soul, r & b, funk, jazz, adult contemporary and pop power ballads. The album marks the emergence of a major artist, featuring five songs composed by Laury. The cornerstone of the album is a homage to her mentor and past work with Michel Legrand: Laury's electrifying, funk-tinged, version of the Oscar-winning The Windmills of Your Mind, the album's first single.
Cast Recording Announced for Off-Broadway's UNEXPECTED JOY

Jump For Joy! The Off-Broadway cast recording of the New York premiere production of the new musical Unexpected Joy, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Janet Hood (Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens with Bill Russell), will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at Sear Sound Studios (353 West 48th Street) on Monday, May 14, 2018 to lay down the tracks for the recording.

The McAninch Arts Center (MAC) is pleased to present a free concert by The New Lionel Hampton Big Band with Jason Marsalis, Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. This incredible band featuring world-class musicians who played with the legendary Lionel Hampton will perform a memorable mix of jazz, swing and bebop. This concert was originally scheduled for the Lakeside Pavilion this past summer as part of the WDCB LIVE Jazz Concert Series but was cancelled due to the impact of poor weather on the band's air travel. The rescheduled concert is presented in partnership with WDCB 90.9 FM Public Radio from College of DuPage. There are no advance reservations. The box office will begin to hand out tickets at the MAC day of show, starting at 2 p.m.
