Annie, the new production of the Tony Award-winning musical opens November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). Annie features a book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin, with all three authors receiving 1977 Tony Awards for their work. The November 1 broadcast of 'Katie' will devote the entire hour to ANNIE, now in previews on Broadway. The broadcast will include interviews with stars Katie Finneran (Miss Hannigan), Anthony Warlow (Oliver Warbucks) and Lilla Crawford (Annie), animal trainer Bill Berloni and Sunny (Sandy), original stage and film Annies, Andrea McArdle and Aileen Quinn, and the first network performances by Lilla Crawford and the Orphans (Madi Rae DiPietro, Georgi James, Junah Jang, Tyrah Skye Odoms, Taylor Richardson and Emily Rosenfeld). A beautiful benefit concert called "In Full Bloom" was staged at Birdland on Monday night - created by Ryan Murray and starring incredible Broadway types like Clarke Thorell, Destan Owens, Nikki M. James, Aaron Lazaar, Nick Adams, and Ramona Keller. Joel Waggoner was musical director. The event raised money for The Wishing Kids Foundation, an organization that provides support for people with terminal illnesses. Obviously, with that cast, the singing was gorgeous and heartfelt, the stories were touching, and the crowd was thrilled to meet and hear some of their favorite performers.

The Wishing Kids Foundation, sponsored by BC/EFA and Fund for the City of New York, presents IN FULL BLOOM: An evening of song with Broadway's Best tonight, August 6 at Birdland in Manhattan.
