Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is announcing its 2017-2018 season. 

'The Surrogate,' written by Patricia Cotter and directed by Shelley Delaney is now being presented at the Centenary Stage Company through March 5th. This World Premiere play is a thoughtful, yet hilarious twist on the contemporary family.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will present the seventh annualSomething Wicked This Way Comes - a popular one-night-only event - on Monday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m.  The performance kicks off Halloween week and will be held at the F.M. William Shakespeare's thrilling political drama, Coriolanus is now on stage at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) through July 24th.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 54th season with William Shakespeare's intense political drama, Coriolanus. Performances begin July 6 and continue through July 24 at the F.M. Every season the Repertory of St. Louis plucks a gem or two from the past to mix in with some of their more current selections. It's undoubtedly a treat when it happens, because there's always something there that rings true with a modern audience. Whether it's a comedy whose jokes still maintain a since of topicality due to our current economic or political woes, or a drama that gives us insight into situations that are still being addressed, the Rep finds these works that are, in a sense, timeless. British writer Patrick Hamilton came up with some interesting and dark works that Hollywood embraced and had success putting up on the big screen. One of those was the play GASLIGHT (another was Hitchcock's ROPE) which changed its name for its American premier to ANGEL STREET. Although already lensed before in Britain, the 1944 Hollywood film version is a classic, featuring the smoothly sinister acting of Charles Boyer subtly menacing our fragile heroine, played by Ingrid Bergman. But now you can see the play as it was originally written, and marvel at how this piece, in the right hands, can still be the same suspense-filled thriller it was intended to be. This is expertly crafted entertainment that will surely get you in the mood for the Halloween season, and I highly recommend it!

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis presents Angel Street (Gaslight) by Patrick Hamilton and directed by Jenn Thompson. One of the true originals of psychological horror, this shadowy mystery runs October 14 - November 8 on the Browning Mainstage of the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts. Curtain times are Tuesday at 7 pm; Wednesday-Friday at 8 pm; selected Wednesday matinees at 1:30 pm; Saturday matinees at 4 pm; selected Saturday nights at 8 pm; Sunday matinees at 2 pm; and selected Sunday evenings at 7 pm.

Next up on its Main Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents the Bard's epic pageant play Henry VIII. Centered around the tug-of-wars between church and state and husband and wife, the play culminates in the birth of England's future Queen Elizabeth I, Shakespeare's great patron and Henry's fierce and very female heir. Performances begin October 15 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue in Madison. Tickets start at $25 for preview performances and $32 for regular performances. Student rush tickets for all performances are $15, available a half-hour before curtain for with a valid student ID. Moliere's 'The Learned Ladies' is now being performed through July 27th at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's Outdoor Stage. This satirical comedy is an enormously entertaining production.
