The Flea Premieres New Adaptation of THE TROJAN WOMEN Tonight

The Flea Theater presents the New York premiere of Ellen McLaughlin's adaptation of THE TROJAN WOMEN. It will be directed by Resident Director Anne Cecelia Haney, featuring members of The Bats, The Flea's resident Acting Company. Previews begin tonight, August 24th, with opening night slated for Thursday, September 1st.

T. Schreiber Theatre to Stage Jim Geoghan's HYSTERICAL

T. Schreiber Theatre of Chelsea Manhattan has announced dates for the final production of their 46th season, 'Hysterical', by Jim Geoghan. Written by the EMMY-nominated Executive Producer for The Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, 'Hysterical' was chosen out of nearly 100 full-length plays as T. Schreiber's 2016 New Works Project. The play will receive a workshop production with 8 performances July 13-23, 2016, with free stand-up comedy preceding the following dates: July 15, 16, 22, & 23.

Definition & The New Colony's BYHALIA, MISSISSIPPI to Open at Steppenwolf's 1700 Theatre

The New Colony and Definition Theatre Company's runaway hit BYHALIA, MISSISSIPPI, winner of three 2016 Jeff Awards including Best New Work, returns this summer featuring the full original cast from July 22 - August 21, 2016 as part of Steppenwolf's Visiting Company Initiative at their new 1700 Theatre, 1700 N. Halsted St. in Chicago. The searing new American drama by The New Colony Co-Artistic Director Evan Linder, directed by Definition Theatre's Founding Artistic Director Tyrone Phillips, enjoyed two sold-out extensions during its world premiere last winter at The Den Theatre. Alley Theatre's Summer Chills Series to Continue with Agatha Christie's SPIDER'S WEB

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Agatha Christie's Spider's Web, Agatha Christie's only comedy thriller, beginning performances July 12 in the Hubbard Theatre. The popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills series returns to the Alley after a two-year break and offers a cool escape from the summer heat. The series is the perfect introduction to live theatre for first-timers.

Alley Theatre to Present Agatha Christie's SPIDER'S WEB, 7/12-8/14

This summer, the Alley Theatre will produce Agatha Christie's Spider's Web during its popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills Series July 12 - August 14. In addition, the Alley is launching a new Summer Thrills Series inviting audiences to the concert musical - A Night With Janis Joplin - the first rock & roll theatre piece on the new Hubbard stage, August 19 - September 18, 2016.
