The West End transfer of Jessica Swale's new play NELL GWYNN, directed by Christopher Luscombe, begins tonight 4 February 2016.

St. Ann's Warehouse continues its highly successful Inaugural Season in its "stunning" (New York Magazine) new theater on the waterfront in Brooklyn Bridge Park with the New York City Premiere of the American Repertory Theater's Nice Fish, conceived, written and adapted by Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins, directed by Claire van Kampen, and starring Rylance. The production will run for six weeks, February 14 - March 27, in the Joseph S. and Diane H. Steinberg Theater.

If the homespun humor and quirky philosophizing that comes to you live from Lake Woebegone via A Prairie Home Companion warms you up on a cold winter's night, then NICE FISH is your cup of cocoa. The brainchild of Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins, based on Jenkins' offbeat down home prose poems written over the course of 50 years, NICE FISH is a somewhat surrealistic tale of those hearty folk who search for solace on the frozen lakes of Minnesota and spiritual solitude in the murky depths of their own minds.

FARINELLI AND THE KING, which just finished a West End run this autumn after originating at Shakespeare's Globe, has set its sights on New York City.

Shakespeare's Globe and Sonia Friedman Productions are delighted to announce the West End transfer of Claire van Kampen's critically-acclaimed new play Farinelli and the King, directed by John Dove, designed by Jonathan Fensom and starring Mark Rylance (Wolf Hall, Jerusalem, Richard III, Twelfth Night), as King Philippe V of Spain. Sam Crane will once again play the acting role of Farinelli, while the singing role will be reprised by opera star, Iestyn Davies and shared withRupert Enticknap. The rest of the cast will also transfer with Huss Garbiya playing Doctor Jose Cervi, Melody Grove playing Isabella Farnese, Colin Hurley as Metastasio and Edward Peel as De la Cuadra. The new St. Ann's Warehouse was unveiled in a ceremony this morning! The $31.6 million, 25,000 sf. theater, at the breathtaking site of the pre-Civil War Tobacco Warehouse under the Brooklyn Bridge, will make Brooklyn Bridge Park a home for culture for future generations.

Following a sold-out run at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at the Globe earlier this year, Claire van Kampen's first play, Farinelli and the King, has transferred to the Duke of York's for a limited run this autumn. Starring Mark Rylance as King Philippe V of Spain, it tells the story of Farinelli, an exquisite castrato singer who was brought to Spain to sing for the King and the production focuses on the special relationship that formed between the two.

St. Ann's Warehouse, which for 36 years has enlivened New Yorkers with innovative music and theater by some of the world's most vital creative artists, is about to open its first permanent home, a 25,000-sf theater at the breathtaking site of the Tobacco Warehouse, on the waterfront in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The new St. Ann's Warehouse will present an Inaugural Season 2015-16 that epitomizes the organization's indispensable contribution to the global cultural landscape - a series of international productions in which world-class artists reconfigure flexible, open space to realize their spectacular visions.

Onstage seating for the West End transfer of Claire van Kampen's critically-acclaimed new play Farinelli and the King, starring Mark Rylance, will be released to the general public on Friday 5th June at 10am.  Additionally, further seats will be released for all performances, including accessibly priced £10 tickets located in all parts of the house.
