Penguin Rep Theatre closes its 33rd season with the New York premiere of MRS. MANNERLY, a comedy by Jeffrey Hatcher, October 1 through October 24 in Stony Point, New York. Directed by Penguin Rep artistic director Joe Brancato, MRS. MANNERLY stars Diane Ciesla and Mark Shanahan.

Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans announce the new musical Daddy Long Legs, directed by John Caird, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning director of Les Misérables, with music and lyrics by Paul Gordon, composer of Jane Eyre.

Northlight Theatre opens its 2010-2011 Season with Daddy Long Legs by John Caird and Paul Gordon, based on the novel by Jean Webster. The production, directed by John Caird, runs September 16 - October 24, 2010 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie.

Victory Gardens opens its 2010/11 Season with Edward Albee's At Home At The Zoo directed by Artistic Director Dennis Za?ek. The production runs October 1 - October 31, 2010 at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. The Press Opening is Monday, October 11, 2010, at 7:30 pm.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, presents Noel Coward's timeless comedic gem Blithe Spirit, directed by Damaso Rodriguez, which opens Saturday, October 9 and closes Friday, December 17, 2010 (previews begin Saturday, October 2).

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will open its Thompson Shelterhouse 2010 - 2011 season with Cincinnati native Theresa Rebeck's THE UNDERSTUDY. This bitingly witty and entertaining look behind the scenes of the acting world begins previews on September 18 and continues through October 17.

Kathleen Turner is currently starring in the world premiere production of HIGH at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. The production is running through October 2, 2010, after which producers are aiming for a Broadway transfer. Producer Daryl Roth announces that following a sold out developmental run last spring, THE DIVINE SISTER, the new comedy written by and starring Charles Busch, directed by Carl Andress, will transfer to the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street) featuring the entire original company: Alison Fraser, Amy Rutberg, Jennifer Van Dyck, Jonathan Walker, and Julie Halston.

THE HOUSE OF THE SPIRITS, an adaptation of Isabel Allende's epic novel written by award-winning playwright Caridad Svich, will play the Denver Center Theatre Company's Space Theatre September 17-October 23 (opening night Thursday, September 23.)

Donald Margulies's Pulitzer Prize-winning Dinner With Friends at Olney Theatre Center has been extended to Sunday, October 3. The Washington Post calls the Olney production an 'exacting, unsettling drama.' The Frederick News-Post declares, 'Dinner With Friends shines on Olney Theatre Center's black box stage.'

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Kristoffer Diaz's Welcome to Arroyo's. Directed by Jaime Castañeda, the hip hop-infused play will run in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre Sept. 25 - Oct. 31. Previews run Sept. 25 - Sept. 29. Opening night is Thursday, Sept. 30 at 7:00 p.m. Welcome to Arroyo's will also be performed at Lincoln High School Center for the Arts Nov. 6 and 7 as part of the Globe's Southeastern San Diego Residency Project. The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will open its 2010-2011 season with Matthew Lombardo's HIGH, starring movie and stage actress Kathleen Turner. After its Cincinnati run, HIGH will move to Broadway early in 2011. This powerful and gripping adult drama begins previews in the Playhouse's Robert S. Marx Theatre September 4 and continues through October 2.
