Cleveland Play House is now presenting Primary Trust, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Eboni Booth, running through March 1, 2026 in the Outcalt Theatre.

Greater Cleveland is blessed with a vital theater scene. It the purpose of BROADWAY WORLD.COM-CLEVELAND PROFESSIONAL THEATER TRIBUTES (BWW-CLE Theater Tributes), to recognize theatrical experiences that, in the subjective view of this reviewer, were excellent and deserve recognition.

Newspapers and television are filled with stories of drug overdoses, excessive prescriptions for opioids, and dependency on drugs due to PTSD, pain and depression. Obituaries note an increasing number of young people dying because of overdosing. Hands are wrung, mea culpas chanted, and social service centers pontificate, but the siege continues.

Beck Center for the Arts presents THE PITMEN PAINTERS, a new play from the Tony Award-winning writer of 'Billy Elliot', Lee Hall, inspired by a book by William Feaver. Directed by Sarah May, the production runs now through July 7, 2013 at the Studio Theater. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Nicky Silver's absurdist play, THE LYONS, gets an excellent production at Dobama. The balance between comedy and tragedy should get positive audience response and inspire some personal awareness.
