Producer Ken Davenport announced today that the new Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's legendary rock musical GODSPELL will launch its first national tour in the 2013-2014 theater season.

SILENCE! The Musical, currently nominated for two Lucille Lortel Awards including Best Musical, will celebrate its 200th performance this Friday, April 6th at The 9th Space Theatre at Performance Space 122, 150 First Avenue (at 9th St.)

As announced last week, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, the company of Broadway's first-ever revival of Stephen Schwartz's legendary rock musical GODSPELL welcomes a new leading man -- stage and screen star Corbin Bleu (Disney's 'High School Musical,' Broadway's In the Heights) -- to the starring role of Jesus. The first promo shots of Corbin in costume have been released and BroadwayWorld brings you a first look below!

Newsies opened March 29th, at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre for a limited run following its critically-hailed stint at Paper Mill Playhouse last fall. The musical, featuring a score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Harvey Fierstein, played its first Broadway preview on March 15th; the final performance is scheduled for August 19th. Nominations in 14 categories were announced today by the Off-Broadway League for the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. This year's ceremony will once again benefit The Actors Fund. The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00pm EST.
