CATCH ME IF YOU CAN to Open on Broadway April 10; Previews March 7, 2011

Lead producers Margo Lion and Hal Luftig announced today that the new musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN will open on Broadway Sunday, April 10, 2011 at a Nederlander theatre to be announced. This new musical, created by a team of Tony winners, features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, choreography by Jerry Mitchell and is directed by Jack O'Brien. Previews begin March 7, 2011. Casting and additional design team will be announced shortly.
R&H Theatricals/Ghostlight Records Announces Adam Gwon's ORDINARY DAYS 9/21

R&H Theatricals, a division of Rodgers & Hammerstein: An Imagem Company, has acquired the performance rights to Adam Gwon's musical ORDINARY DAYS, and will begin accepting applications for professional productions starting Tuesday, September 21. On the same day, Ghostlight Records will release the Original Cast Album CD of ORDINARY DAYS.
Century 21 Will Replace Lincoln Square Barnes & Noble

As reported previously, the Barnes and Noble at Lincoln Center, a longtime staple of Lincoln Triangle at 66th and Broadway, will close at the end of January, 2011 due to high rent. According to NBC New York, it will soon be replaced by the designer-discount store Century 21. This will be the second New York location for the store, the first being near the World Trade Center for the past 50 years. The new store is expected to open by fall of 2011.
Barnes and Noble at Lincoln Center to Close in January

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, winner of three 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, welcomes new cast members Allyce Beasley and Matt Anctil to the company. The production, starring five-time Emmy Award winner Kelsey Grammer and Tony and Olivier Award winner Douglas Hodge, is playing at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street).

Today New York City Opera released full casting, creative team, and production details for the company's 2010-2011 season. The season spotlights American composers and 20th-century works, world premieres, New York premieres and new productions. Offering audiences the opportunity to experience new and rarely performed operas as well as modern interpretations of traditional repertoire, the 2010-2011 season also will feature the launch of a new concert series showcasing the non-operatic works of several of the composers whose operas will be presented on the mainstage.
