The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of the individuals who will receive the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors. Recipients to be honored at the 34th annual national celebration of the arts are: singer Barbara Cook, singer and songwriter Neil Diamond, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, saxophonist and composer Sonny Rollins, and actress Meryl Streep.

According to EW.com, stage and screen star Harvey Fierstein has signed on to join the third season of CBS' THE GOOD WIFE as a judge. He'll play 'a liberal, ex-hippie type who marches to a different drummer. He'll preside over a case Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is working on with a sharp eye, but rather laid-back speech.'

Set to appear in The Good Wife this season are stage and screen veterans Parker Posey, Peter Jacobson, and Bill Heck; they join the previously announced Harvey Fierstein, Michael Arden, and Eddie Izzard in the set of guest stars that the CBS drama has lined up.

Reprise Theatre Company's production of the classic American musical 'Cabaret,' which opens the 2011-2012 Reprise season and plays September 13 to 25 (press opening September 14, 2011) at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, includes a cast of new talents as well as Broadway and West End veterans - Zach Bandler as Ernst Ludwig, Lisa O'Hare as Sally Bowles, Jeff McLean as Cliff Bradshaw, Katrina Lenk as Fräulein Kost, Mary Gordon Murray as Fräulein Schneider, Robert Picardo as Herr Schultz and Bryce Ryness as the Master of Ceremonies.

The new London cast for the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! at the Prince of Wales Theatre will start performances on Monday 13 June. The cast will be headed by Sally Ann Triplett as ‘Donna Sheridan', with Joanna Monro as ‘Rosie' and Kim Ismay as ‘Tanya'. William Tapley will play ‘Sam Carmichael', Oliver Senton ‘Harry Bright', Mark Gillis ‘Bill Austin', Dani De Waal ‘Sophie Sheridan', Craig Fletcher ‘Sky', Hannah Fairclough ‘Ali', Rachel Sargent ‘Lisa', Warren Sollars ‘Pepper' and Alex Jessop ‘Eddie'.
