Carlos Garland, Season 10 finalist on Fox TV's "So You Think You Can Dance," joined the cast of iLUMINATE on June 23rd at New World Stages.

Google launched a $50 million initiative to teach young girls how to code with a spectacular kick-off event in New York City this past Thursday, June 19th. The evening's starry lineup included Mindy Kaling, Chelsea Clinton, Iconic Pop, and Miral Kotb, founder of iLuminate. iLUMINATE, the smash Off-Broadway hit, made a special trip to the Telecharge offices last Thursday, June 5th. Members of the iLUMINATE company mingled with the Telecharge operators, answered their questions, and gave them a demonstration of the show's special patented technology. iLUMINATE, which is celebrating its 400th performance today at New World Stages, wowed the nation with their groundbreaking light suits and innovative dance moves on NBC's "America's Got Talent," where the dance-in-the-dark sensation was selected as one of the hit show's top finalists after judge Piers Morgan called them "The Best New Act in America!"

iLUMINATE has added Wednesday matinees to the summer playing schedule effective next Wednesday, June 4th. All the kids in the audience at iLUMINATE received a special treat after the show on Easter Sunday. Immediately following the spectacular 52-minute performance, where the audience breathlessly followed the ultimate tale of good vs. evil, the kids in the house were tickled to witness the inner Easter Bunny channeled by each iLUMINATE cast member when they suddenly announced that every child would receive a colored egg with a surprise toy inside. The show's stars even took the time to pose for photos with all the kids (along with some of the older kids-at-heart), making the celebration extra memorable for the entire sold-out crowd.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company, recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, presents Shakespeare's Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2 as part of the Clarice Smith Repertory. STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn will direct both parts of this sweeping epic - one of Shakespeare's culminating achievements in the history play genre - over multiple nights. As Kahn says, describing Parts 1 and 2 as his favorite Shakespearean drama: 'It brings to the stage every issue we as human beings experience.' The two productions will run in the Company's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from today, March 25 - June 8, 2014.

Signature Theatre has announced a one week extension for the New York premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' APPROPRIATE, directed by Liesl Tommy. APPROPRIATE, which opened March 16, will now play through April 13 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The production's initial run is sold out.
