BLUE MAN: WHAT A SHOW

Blue Man Group continues to thrive now more than 20 years later. If you haven't seen the show, and I don't say this often, I will guarantee you'll have an incredible time.

I've seen BLUE MAN GROUP live quite a few times, and on this particular occasion I brought along my son for his second go around with the show. What's appealing to me is that there's still a freshness about their performances, even if a lot of the bits are familiar, such as: the camera tour down an audience member's throat, the snarky message board, the various rock poses, etc. There's certainly no denying the fact that they continually draw large, enthusiastic crowds. The current production that played the Peabody Opera House (April 25-27) provided a cool evening's entertainment, for fans and newbies alike.

The BLUE MAN GROUP national tour, currently playing at Kingsbury Hall, melds spectacle and comedy into an evening that stimulates and satisfies the senses. By the end of the gloriously adrenaline-pumping sensory-overload of a finale, BLUE MAN GROUP defies you not to feel invigorated. Take a chance and see for yourself what the fuss is about. Tonight, Blue Man Group, the world-wide entertainment phenomenon, unveils an all new, never-seen-before orchestral show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. This world premiere performance will feature wild collaborations with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, an eclectic array of special guests, virtuoso musicianship, and mayhem on the grandest scale. Blue Man Group, announces six winners of the 2013 Blue Man Group Art Competition. The six winning pieces will be unveiled on September 20, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. on the south exterior wall of the Briar Street Theater (3133 N. The National Theatre has just announced its first subscription series in more than a decade with the announcement of Broadway at the National. The "Blue Men" are usually men of few (or more accurately, no) words, but I got one of them, Russell Rinker, a veteran Blue Man, to speak long enough to tell me a little about himself, this exciting new production and why audiences of all ages are in for a real treat.

While I've seen BLUE MAN GROUP live and on DVD, they're always tweaking their act so that it's a new experience each time you see them perform. Oh, they're smart enough to keep some of the old gags so that they remain familiar (the camera tour down an audience member's throat, the snarky message board, the interesting instruments),but there's enough current material added so that the group is consistently engaging no matter when you see them. The current production playing the Fox Theatre (through December 2, 2012) is a great evening's entertainment, and seeing it with my seven year old son in tow made it even more special.

Trained by members of the Red Bull Air Force, Blue Man Group will take the daring leap at 7,000-feet high above the property and glide to the earth, landing on Rue De Monte Carlo at 10 a.m.

Blue Man Group, the international entertainment phenomenon, will join the star-studded lineup of guest performers on the two-hour season finale of NBC's top-rated show "America's Got Talent" on Thursday, September 13 from 8 - 10 p.m. ET. The Blue Men will perform "Shake Your Euphemism," a wildly popular song that incorporates dozens of alternate words for derriere, and that is featured in all Blue Man Group productions worldwide. The final remaining six contestants selected from thousands of hopefuls will bring out all the stops one last time, as they compete in front of judges Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and hostNick Cannon for their final chance at the $1 million prize and a headlining show in Las Vegas. The grand finale will also feature performances by Justin Bieber, Green Day and NE-YO.
